Been meaning to let y’all know that my mom picked up a Tuxedo Black 2013 Lincoln MKZ 3.7 AWD Signature a couple months back, but I kept forgetting to procure an SR20. CPO, 47K miles, brown leather interior. Sadly no panoramic sunroof. It’s beautiful.

We took it to the touchless drive through wash and weren’t happy with the results, so when we got home I broke out my wash stuff and gave it a thorough cleaning. Tuxedo Black looks great when it’s clean.

Picture taken with my new Nexus 6P. Very happy with the camera on this phone.

It certainly took them a few tries, but they really finally got the grille right on the MKZ

My mom’s Fusion is Tuxedo Black and when it’s clean it’s amazing. So much metal flake!

It’s a great color. My aunt drives a last gen Fusion in the same color and it looks super sharp.

You’ve got the big engine but what are your thoughts otherwise?

I’m actually going to be a courtesy driver for the local Lincoln dealer and this is going to be my car!

The ride is more Mazda than Cadillac. It absorbs bumps better than my Mazda3, but it’s definitely stiffer than old fashioned luxobarges.

The thing is surprisingly nimble when you hustle it. At parking lot speeds it’s a bit unwieldy and feels rather large compared to my cars (all compacts), but once you take it out on a curvy road it’s actually quite enjoyable. Having 300 HP under the hood doesn’t hurt.

It’s also a great long distance cruiser. Comfy, quiet, great sound system, adaptive cruise control, and lane keep assist.

Really nice cars. The only thing I didn’t like was the pushbutton shifter, but I’m guessing you get used to that pretty quickly.

It does take some getting used to, but it's nice having the center console freed up.

That’s a good point...more console space would be handy.

Oh, and I daily drive a Fusion, so we’re practically cousins. :-)

You got the right engine. The turbo car is impossible to be smooth with in stop-and-go and it sounds like a Focus. With the V6, these are really nice.

My mom couldn’t resist the idea of having 300 hp. Haha.
